A native of Washington state, Dyshauntic Monet (D.M.) Bletson has volunteered her time to assist in improving her community, promoting Black Awareness and Appreciation and Diversity across all racial lines. After graduating from Marysville Pilchuck High School, Monet decided to further her education by attending Everett Community College and University of Washington, Seattle. Residing in Snohomish County, she has been an active member of the county’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee. Throughout her life she has been a tutor/ mentor for the Early Scholars Outreach Program, Young People Willing Workers group leader, and Bible Way C.O.G.I.C. Community Feeding Program server. She was also a cast member in the HAIR production in Everett in 2007 and an active member of the Hospitality Auxiliary at her local church. Monet looks forward to continuing her involvement in the community and increasing her knowledge of the untold stories of Black America.
