Independent Historian

Rita Bender is a principal in the Seattle Law Firm of SkellengerBender in Seattle, Washington where she focuses on family law.  She has served as a public defender in Seattle and Newark and has taught as a lecturer in law schools at Rutgers University and the University of Mississippi.  She was an adjunct member of the Seattle University School of Law faculty in 2014 and served as the Seattle Regional Director of the Legal Services Corporation from 1977 to 1982.
