Christopher Kinson is a Ph. D. candidate in statistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His undergraduate degree in mathematics is from Albany State University. He is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and former treasurer of Black Graduate Student Association at UIUC. He was born and raised in Albany, Georgia. He is completing his dissertation on covariance estimation using principal components analysis and striving to inspire future scholars in the mathematical sciences.
