Ayala Feder-Haugabook is an undergraduate student at the University of Washington in Seattle. She is pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and plans on minoring in Diversity as well. She has taken Professor Quintard Taylor’s course on African American History of the Western United States, and being a California native, has written about the city of Compton for the class. Her contributions to Black Past will revolve around African Americans in California.
