David Oglesby is a writer (Nana, The Happy Face Spider, Nana’s Starry Night, and A Pineapple Republic) / award winning filmmaker – Documentary – A Pineapple Republic (writer/director), Hiro’s Table (photography) and Shorts – Living Doll– Japanese (writer/director), Nana, The Happy Face Spider – animation (writer/director) with a 10+ year background in media. He currently lives in Honolulu, Hawaii.

He has taught in both formal (Pre-K – university) and informal (museum and adult education) settings. He has an MFA from Chapman University (Orange, CA) and a BA from the University of West Florida (Pensacola, FL). Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., member, The American Alliance of Museums, The National Association for Interpretation (NAI), and Society for Cinema and Media Studies.

David is constantly working on new media projects in all forms.
