RULES FOR ENTRY/ ARTICLE SPONSORSHIPS
October 30, 2021

With the exception of 50 Most Historically Significant African Americans listed at the bottom of this page, and those already under sponsorship, all 7,000 entries and articles on BlackPast.org are eligible for sponsorship. Individuals on the 50 Most Historically Significant African Americans list can be sponsored but at negotiated minimum donation.

  1. All other individual entry sponsorships require a minimum $100.00 donation.
  2. Individual article sponsorships require a minimum $250.00 donation.
  3. Entries or articles can be sponsored by individuals, organizations, or corporations.
  4. There is no limit on the number of entries or articles an individual, organization, or corporation can sponsor.
  5. Sponsors can dedicate their sponsorship to other individuals, organizations, or causes.
  6. Sponsorship dedications cannot include language deemed inappropriate or offensive by BlackPast.org.
  7. Once sponsorships are determined, they can never be replaced by other sponsorships except at the discretion of BlackPast.org.
