David Taylor is a retired full professor of history and former Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. His Ph.D. in History of African People is from the University of Minnesota, while his master’s degree is also in history from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is the author of two books – African Americans in Minnesota, Minnesota History Press, 2001 and Cap Wigington: Architectural Legacy in Ice and Stone, Minnesota History Press, 2002. He is also the author of numerous articles and consulting historian on several documentaries.
