Sarah G. Dieleman graduated magna cum laude from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a B.A. in History and Social Studies and a minor in African and African Diaspora Studies. Her research interests focus on the impact of colonialism on the African continent; the experiences of Black women and children throughout American slavery; and the intersection of race and policy in early America. She is passionate about using these histories to give context to present-day injustices in the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa.
