Delores Cross Phillips was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and moved to California in 1974 with her family. She is the mother of four adult children, in addition to several grand children. She is currently retired, but is working on a degree in English. Phillips is a genealogist researcher and has been researching family histories for the past 15 years. She recently helped an adoptee locate his paternal and maternal birth families, uniting them after they had been separated for more than 40 years. She is interested in the untold stories of African Americans and in my research she has uncovered many interesting facts about the lives and contributions of African Americans to American society.
