Anna Micklin was raised in Seattle, Washington and comes from one of the first Ashkenazi Jewish families in Seattle. Her family’s story inspired her passion for history. She is a Content Strategist and Communications Specialist with a focus on equity and well-being for government and higher education. Anna graduated from the University of Washington and The Evergreen State College, where she studied African American and Franco-African history and literature and had the honor to study under Dr. Quintard Taylor. Anna is a memoirist, photographer and content creator who writes about being Jewish and raising a Black and Jewish daughter.
