Francis, Berl

Communication specialist Berl Francis lives in Kingston, Jamaica.  She worked as a journalist in Jamaica and Montreal, Canada, and in public relations for over 40 years.  Francis operates a public relations consultancy, with emphasis on development support communication. 

She has taught, at the University of the West Indies, Webster University in St. Louis, and in Thailand.  Her publications include  a report of a study on male socialization by the University of the West Indies called “ Why Man Stay So,” and contributed to a United Nations publication,  “HIV & AIDS: The Global Interconnection,” Currently she writes on communication, particularly relation  to human and labour relations issues.
