Independent Historian

Eugene “Skip” Young, Jr. is a well-known hydroplane historian, promoter and a former driver. A graduate of the University of Washington, he was the editor and publisher of Hydrorave!, a boat racing newsletter. In 2001, he was the recipient of a City of Seattle Achievement Award from the Mayor’s Office for his work on behalf of the community. Presently a tireless advocate of diversity in all forms of motorsports, Skip Young works to that end today.
