Antero Pietila is the author of Not in My Neighborhood: How Bigotry Shaped a Great American City (Ivan R. Dee, 2010). He retired from the Baltimore Sun after a 35-year journalistic career as a reporter and member of the editorial board. He was that paper’s Johannesburg correspondent 1980-1983 and Moscow bureau chief 1983-1988. A native of Finland, he received his M.A. in journalism from Southern Illinois, Carbondale, 1969.
