Anthony R. Miles is a partner with the law firm of Stoel Rives LLP, where he focuses on health care transactions and regulatory matters. Raised in Seattle, Washington, he earned his JD from the University of Michigan Law School and his undergraduate degree from Yale University. Strongly committed to opportunity for all, he was a non-lawyer with the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund in New York City, and in 2003, served pro bono as counsel for 112 Democratic Members of Congress and the Mayor of the City of Detroit, as friends of the court, before the U.S. Supreme Court in Grutter v. Bollinger and Gratz v. Bollinger, the cases addressing the University of Michigan’s affirmative action programs.
