Independent Historian

Joni Savage is a freelance information architect and a recent MLIS graduate from San Jose State University. She has a BA in sociology from San Francisco State University.

Joni was raised in a United Nations relocation camp in Bataan, Philippines where her parents worked as English teachers. There, she developed an interest in diaspora, class struggles, education and language. She immigrated with her family to Los Angeles, where she lived for 20 years. She is now living in Seattle with her husband.

Joni has worked in social services, research libraries and online media companies. She is passionate about making reliable information accessible to all.
