Clydia J. Cuykendall has been a contract attorney in Olympia, Washington since July 2005 and a FINRA Dispute Resolution Arbitrator since 2010.  Previously, she was Associate General Counsel for the J.C. Penney Company in Plano, Texas from June 1999 to April 2005, General Counsel and Secretary for Star Enterprise in Houston, Texas from January 1989 to May 1999, Corporate Counsel for the Arabian American Oil Company in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia from 1979 through 1988, and an Associate at Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro in San Francisco, California from 1974 through 1978.  She is a member of the Bars of the States of California (1974), Washington (1975), and Texas (1992).  Her community service includes the Board of Directors of the Marine Preservation Association (1994-1998), the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (1997-2000), the Board of Directors of the Student Conservation Association (2003–2009), the Port of Olympia Advisory Committee (2009 – present, Chair 7/2012-6/2013), and the League of Women Voters of Thurston County (2005 –present, President, 6/2010 – 5/2012).  She was educated at the University of Washington School of Law (JD 1974) and Stanford University (BS Math1971).
