Kathleen Brose is the President of Parents Involved in Community Schools (www.piics.org), a parent support group in Seattle Washington. She graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle, with a B.A. in History in 2009.  She has volunteered extensively for 18 years in the Seattle Public Schools where her children were enrolled.
