Marquis Bey graduated summa cum laude from Lebanon Valley College in 2014 with majors in philosophy, American Studies, and English. He is now a Ph.D. student in Cornell University’s English program studying African American Literature as well as feminism, gender, and sexuality studies. His research interests include slavery, philosophy of race, the intersections of race and gender, race and gender performativity, and 20th century African American literature.
