Daniel Cady is Assistant Professor of History at California State University, Fresno and the director of the Central Valley Institute for Regional and Historical Studies. He co-authored the introduction to W. E. B. Du Bois, ed. The Negro Church: Report of a Social Study Made under the Direction of Atlanta University; Together with the Proceedings of the Eighth Conference for the Study of the Negro Problems, Held at Atlanta University, May 26th, 1903 (Reprint of the 1903 edition, Walnut Creek, CA: AltaMira Press, 2003), and is currently writing on Black-White relations in early twentieth-century Los Angeles.
