Brooms, Derrick
Derrick Brooms is Assistant Professor of Sociology and Task Force Member for the African American Male Initiative Program at the University of Louisville. He also serves as faculty affiliate to the Student African American Brotherhood. He earned his Ph.D. in sociology at Loyola University Chicago and his B.A. degree in African and African American Studies at the University of Chicago. His current research investigates representations of African Americans in museums and the lives and educational experiences of Black men.
