Ephrem Yared is a first year undergraduate student at the University of Washington, Seattle, majoring in Human Centered Design and Engineering and minoring in Sociology. His interests range from African American history to the history of Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa. Ephrem was born in Seattle but his parents emigrated from Ethiopia in 1995. He has participated in many volunteer programs at his school from in-school math tutoring to coordinating the ‘Link Leadership’ program. After completing his degree Ephrem hopes to enter the architectural design field. |
