Anna T. Micklin is a Visiting Student at the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Studies from The Evergreen State College. At Evergreen she focused on expressive arts and cultural studies, specifically Francophone history, literature, art history and philosophy; including an independent project on The Negritude Movement. At UW she has been able to bridge these studies with her focus on African-American history and her continuing study of the French language. In 2006, Anna studied language and art-history in France, where she did research on the Franco-African art communities in Paris. She is now a Program Intern for the Central District Forum for Arts and Ideas (CDFAI). She hopes to continue her work with a career in multi-cultural education and community-based arts.   She will graduate from Evergreen with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and a focus in Cultural Studies.
